Transport chief says response has exceeded government’s expectations and authorities will arrange for applicants to take test within two months

Secretary for Transport and Logistics Mable Chan also gave more details on Monday about a separate scheme that would allow mainland Chinese yacht owners to sail their vessels into city waters, saying they had achieved a good passing rate for the relevant test.
Hong Kong recently passed legislation to regulate ride-hailing services in the city, capping the number of vehicle permits for such services at 10,000.
