After a lowly 6-11 2025 season, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Kenneth Walker III and co. were back in fine form in Week 1 roughing up their AFC West rivals, the Denver Broncos 31-10 at home while Taylor Swift watched from a suite with her parents, brother, Tom Cruise and Donna Kelce.
Today, they look to do it all over again — possibly with Swift in attendance — when Daniel Jones’ 0-1 Indianapolis Colts visit Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium for a big Week 2 Sunday Night Football matchup.
Oddsmakers give Andy Reid’s competitive club a cushy 6.5-point advantage with Sports Illustrated speculating that “there’s a real chance that this line moves to Chiefs -7 by the end of the week.”
Even with the cards stacked against them, Colts head coach Shane Steichen still has faith in his team.
“We got a lot to clean up,” he said in a press conference. “Things we gotta improve on [include] communication, tackling, we gotta limit the explosive plays, special teams penalties and we gotta be better offensively…we gotta move on.”
Should things go their way, this could be a down and dirty showdown.
