While the brand’s beloved soy milk and honey Creme de Corps line debuted in the early ’70s, it’s never dropped new scents — until this week.
The tried-and-true whipped body butter is now available in three fresh fragrances: black tea- and jasmine-based Creme De Tranquillite, bergamot- and cedar-filled Creme De Energique and sensual Creme De Amour, which features notes of fig, sandalwood and amber
While each is designed for a different sensorial experience — the brand describes them as “mood-enhancing” — they still feature the same skin-loving shea butter and jojoba butter ingredients as the original.
Several iconic “Housewives” have raved to Page Six Style about their love of the OG formula; Melissa Gorga called it her “absolute favorite,” while Luann de Lesseps said it’s part of her go-to routine.
“My favorite hydrating, all-over body lotion. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and luminous all day long!” the cabaret star raved.
Reality stars aren’t the only ones who swear by the stuff, either; self-described “Kiehl’s junkie” Priyanka Chopra once told Into the Gloss that it’s “amazing.”
Meanwhile, Oprah shared her love of the formula on “Good Morning America” in 2012, calling it “fantastic” and an “ash killer.”
The latest launch marks a new direction for the apothecary-inspired brand, known for its no-frills approach to skin care.
It comes on the heels of Kiehl’s new CollaShot Plumping Serum launch earlier this summer, which scored social media shout-outs from the likes of Bethenny Frankel.
It’s safe to say it’s only a matter of time before the new Creme de Corps scents wind up on celebrities’ bathroom shelves, too.
