With Danny and Evan TV exclusive ‘Big Brother 28’ star Barrett Pfeiffer reveals if he thinks his HOH was a ‘waste’ By Eric Todisco Published Sep. 18, 2026, 5:04 p.m. ET “Big Brother 28” star Barrett Pfeiffer doesn’t look at his Head of Household reign — where he failed to eliminate one of the “Survivor” alums, Dee Valladares and Rick Devens — as a failure.
“I think it’s easy to say that my HOH was a waste with Angela [Murray] going home as opposed to a ‘Survivor’ going home,” Pfeiffer, 28, exclusively told Page Six on Friday after his eviction.
“But at the same time, ‘Big Brother’ is a numbers game and getting rid of a number in a trio that was the ‘Icons’ is still a big deal,” he added.
The jumbotron engineer said that while Valladares, 29, and Devens, 42, survived the week and gained Yash Patel and Taylor Brown as allies, Murray’s eviction was still a blow to their game.
“They did lose a number. Angela was a block for them in the final eight, going into final seven,” he explained. “And ‘The Crossovers’ was, to them, a solidified final five in the final eight.”
Pfeiffer continued, “So I think definitely it was not a waste, because it took away one of their numbers, and it could have completely reformed the game going forward with going against the ‘Icons’ and getting them out one by one, because it lessened their chance of winning any competition.”

“Of course, the bribe ruined all that,” Pfeiffer added, referring to how Valladares used the “BB Bribe” power to block Patel from nominating any of the three “Icons” in exchange for a cool $5K.
Last week, Murray, 53, exclusively told Page Six that Pfeiffer made the wrong move by betraying their alliance and evicting her.
“I think he’s very much so gonna regret it,” she said. “Not the right time, Barrett! Not the right time.”
The real estate agent also correctly predicted that Pfeiffer would be eliminated next during the double eviction.
“He’s public enemy No. 1, and he has some big hitters coming for him,” she told us. “And he better watch out.”
