Country music star Orville Peck reveals he ‘made out with a guy on the Raiders’ in new song

Add The California Post on Google Orville Peck isn’t just kissing and telling. He’s swapping spit and singing.

The openly gay country music star revealed in a new song this week that he “made out with a guy on the Raiders.”

Peck did not unveil in the tune who the player was, but in an interview with Variety, he said he got permission from the athlete before officially crooning about the tryst.

“I’m going to preface this by saying that I did receive permission to sing that lyric from the subject in question and he was very thrilled,” Peck said. “I told him, ‘Look, I’m gonna keep it sort of ambiguous and mysterious, but I would like to include this in this song.’ He was very, very honored.”

The lyric crops up about one minute into “Ring the Bell,” which is a part of Peck’s new album, “Mule.”

“I love the Lakers, the Mets and the Longhorns,” Peck sings in the song. “Made out with a guy on the Raiders — I’ve seen him on TV.”

Peck told Variety the Raiders player “would have probably allowed me to say their name if I wanted, but I didn’t think it was necessary.”

“People can use their own common sense and discovery to try to figure out who it may be,” Peck added, “but that’s all I’ll say.”

Peck’s new album officially dropped on Friday — no word if his celebration of its release includes taking in the Raiders’ next game against the Chargers in Los Angeles on Sunday.
