Add Page Six on Google Princess Diana’s brother, Earl Spencer, insisted he is “telling the truth” about King Charles’ “monstrous” remarks about his ex-wife after her death.
“I can tell you here and now, those are exactly the words he said,” Spencer told the BBC Friday.
“I was hyper alert to what he was saying and those are precisely the words that he said and I promise that to you now. Genuinely, that is what he said. I don’t hear him saying he didn’t say that.”
charles.earl.spencer/instagram When Spencer was asked whether he had evidence to back his shocking claim, he said he had repeated what the monarch said to family and friends at the time “because it was so monstrous.”
As Page Six previously reported, Earl claims that Charles told him Diana would be forgotten “soon enough” in a phone call following her death in 1997.
The shocking allegation was made in his forthcoming memoir “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.”
