Tom Cruise lifts lid on his conversation with ‘genius’ Taylor Swift at Chiefs game

Add Page Six on Google Taylor Swift was “schooling” Tom Cruise “on football” as they watched the Kansas City Chiefs game together Monday night.

Cruise revealed details about their conversation on Thursday’s episode of “The Tonight Show” when Jimmy Fallon asked him what happens “when the biggest movie star in the world is sitting next to the biggest artist in the world.”

“She was bringing the football. First of all, she’s a genius,” the “Top Gun” actor gushed.

“I’ve been following her since she was a kid. Everybody there, all their friends, they’re a beautiful couple and magical in their own right,” he said, referring to Swift and her husband, Travis Kelce. “Everybody there in that booth.”

After the “Mission: Impossible” star confessed that Swift was showing him the ropes, Fallon couldn’t believe it.

“For real?” Fallon questioned, as Cruise insisted, “For real.”

“I hadn’t been to a football game since pre-COVID, where I was working and everything,” he explained. “So to get to hang out there and have that moment, it was a lot of fun … she knows her stuff.”

During the conversation, Swift admitted she didn’t know anything about football when she first met the Chiefs tight end.

“She said, ‘You know, he’s so patient,’” Cruise, 64, shared, laughing, “I said, ‘I’m sure he was.’ I think everybody would be very patient [with her].”

“[Now] she knows … she’s just bringing it,” he insisted.

Aside from football, the duo also discussed music and movies while sitting in the suit.

“She’s funny. She’s got such a great sense of humor. A brilliant writer also, by the way. Brilliant musician and director. Very skilled.”

Swift, 36, and Cruise made headlines on Monday after they were spotted hanging out in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, as Kelce and the Chiefs defeated the Denver Broncos in their first game of the NFL season.

The two looked deep in conversation, although it was unclear exactly what they were talking about until now.

On Wednesday, ESPN host Pat McAfee, who was in the suit with Swift and Cruise, said on his podcast that “watching them experience a game was fantastic.”

McAfee had nothing but good things to say about the two, calling the singer “kind” and “hospitable.”

As for Cruise, McAfee couldn’t believe he wasn’t sweating in his leather jacket.

“He … didn’t have a single drop or bead of sweat anywhere,” the retired athlete insisted to listeners. “He’s the movie star. He doesn’t sweat.”

The origins of their friendship are unclear, but Cruise attended Swift and Kelce’s July wedding along with a plethora of other A-listers.
