Joe Rogan slams Bernie Sanders for kowtowing to Dem establishment

Add The New York Post on Google The bromance is over.

During a rant against mainstream Dems, podcaster Joe Rogan slammed Sen. Bernie Sanders for kowtowing to “the Democratic establishment.”

The shiny talking head pointed to the Vermont socialist’s endorsement of Hillary Clinton for president in 2016 as evidence of the alleged sell-out.

“He kinda gave in to the Democratic establishment. He let them run him over during that whole thing with Hillary where they rigged the primary. He let them get away with stuff where I think he should have put his foot down and said, ‘This is f–ked up,’” Rogan said on the Wednesday installment of his shockingly popular show.

Podcaster Joe Rogan (above) seemingly abandoned his support of Sen. Bernie Sanders. YouTube/PowerfulJRE “They haven’t had a legit primary in like, what, more than a decade? That’s not good,” he continued. “That’s not good if you wanna be the party that’s the solution, the change. Where’s your primaries? What are you doing? Like when they installed Kamala [Harris], they just shoved her in there.”

Clinton won the biggest states and nearly 3.7 million more votes than Sanders in 2016’s Democratic primaries. She snagged an endorsement from her onetime rival Sanders at a joint rally in New Hampshire, where the socialist vowed to do “everything I can to make certain” she’d win the contest against President Trump.

“The Democratic establishment did not want that guy,” Rogan said of Sanders. “That was the first time I ever got attacked … I said if I was gonna vote for anybody, I’d probably vote for Bernie. He’s the one who makes the most sense.

“Like, he’s the only guy who’s anti-war, he wants to take a small amount of money from stock market speculation and use that to fund a bunch of these social programs. I’m like, let’s see! This is a long time ago. I don’t necessarily think that I feel the same way anymore about him.”

Rogan didn’t actually endorse Sanders until January 2020, while exchanging deep thoughts with then-New York Times columnist Bari Weiss on a podcast.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) (above) has appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast twice. YouTube/PowerfulJRE The Vermont senator has appeared on Rogan’s podcast twice, first in August 2019 and again in June 2025.

Rogan heaped praise on Sanders, saying he “genuinely looks out for the working class and genuinely wants to help people.”

But this year’s rise of democratic socialists who walk, talk and squawk like Sanders has confounded Rogan, who called their plans to raise taxes “f–king nuts.”
