Macron announces ‘purely defensive’ mission to reopen Strait of Hormuz © AFP - France 24 01:12 Macron announces ‘purely defensive’ mission to reopen Strait of Hormuz Middle East Issued on: 09/03/2026 - 17:12
President Emmanuel Macron said on a visit to Cyprus on Monday that France and its allies were working to put together a "purely defensive" mission to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
