‘Testament of Ann Lee’ Comes to Digital, But When Will ‘The Testament of Ann Lee’ Movie Be Streaming?

Amanda Seyfried’s The Testament of Ann Lee movie may have been snubbed at the 2026 Oscars, but it doesn’t have to be snubbed by you, especially now that the historical musical drama is coming to video-on-demand to watch at home tomorrow.

Directed by Norwegian filmmaker Mona Fastvold, who also co-wrote the script with Brady Corbet (with whom she also co-wrote the Oscar-winning film The Brutalist), this epic historical musical is based on the true story of Ann Lee, the founder and leader of the 18th century religious sect known as The Shakers, known for their ecstatic, “shaking” movements during worship and sermons.

Seyfried stars in the lead role as Ann Lee, and critics praised her performance as a career best. Supporting cast includes Thomasin McKenzie, Lewis Pullman, Stacy Martin, Tim Blake Nelson, and Christopher Abbott. Though The Testament of Ann Lee could have been an Oscar contender, it’s late release date meant it didn’t hit the conversation in time. But luckily, you can soon watch the movie at home. Read on to learn more about when and where to watch The Testament of Ann Lee movie on streaming.

The Testament of Ann Lee will be released on digital tomorrow, on Tuesday, March 10 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time (which is also 9 p.m. Pacific Time on March 9). You can pre-order The Testament of Ann Lee on platforms like Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango At Home, and more. The movie costs $19.99 to buy.

The Testament of Ann Lee DVD release date has not yet been announced, but the digital release comes with a bonus feature, a behind-the-scenes look at making the film with the cast and crew.

Before you buy The Testament of Ann Lee online, you should know that The Testament of Ann Lee is likely coming to Hulu soon.

If you’re new to Hulu, you can get started with a 30-day free trial on the streamer’s basic (with ads) plan. After the trial period, you’ll pay $10.99/month. If you want to upgrade to Hulu ad-free, it costs $18.99/month.

If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the Disney+ Bundles, all of which include Hulu. These bundles start at $12.99/month for ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu and goes up to $32.99/month for Disney+, Hulu, and Max, all ad-free.

The Testament of Ann Lee streaming release date on Hulu has not yet been announced, but it might be streaming on Hulu around the end of this month. The Testament of Ann Lee is a Searchlight Pictures film, and most of the Searchlight films—a studio owned by Disney—go to the Disney-owned streamer, Hulu.

Another Searchlight film, The Roses came to Hulu about three months after it opened in theaters. If The Testament of Ann Lee follows a similar pattern, you might see it on Hulu around late April 2026, aka about three months after the film opened wide in the U.S.

That said, not all of the Searchlight releases on Hulu have followed the same timeline. This is all speculation. Stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, you can buy the film on digital.
