Crazed woman tries kidnap boy from grandma on NYC street — but hero cop mom saves the day

Add The New York Post on Google A female stranger snatched a 4-year-old boy away from his grandmother outside a Brooklyn McDonald’s this week – before the kid’s quick-thinking mom, an off-duty NYPD cop, managed to save him, authorities and sources said Wednesday.

The creep pulled the boy away from his 66-year-old grandma around 5 p.m. Monday outside the fast food joint on Eastern Parkway near Utica Avenue in Crown Heights, according to authorities and law enforcement sources.

The brazen kidnapper tried crossing the street with the boy – but was thwarted when his cop mom grabbed him back, the sources said.

The would-be captor then fled without the boy, and no injuries were reported, according to police.

The NYPD is looking for the public’s help in tracking down the suspect, who is pictured in surveillance images wearing a white shirt, black shorts and black sandals.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/, or on X @NYPDTips.
