Add The California Post on Google Keenan Allen exhibited around half a dozen signs of being highly intoxicated during his drunk driving arrest last month, according to a new court filing obtained by the California Post.
The Colts wide receiver was questioned by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers at around 1 a.m. on Aug. 30 after stopping his white Nissan in a no-parking area, and almost immediately, he gave cops reason to believe he was impaired, the filing states.

USA TODAY Network via Reuters Connect Allen had “extremely slurred speech and glossy eyes,” and when he got out of his vehicle, a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage” came from his breath, according to the court document.
Officials added in the filing that Allen “also appeared to have a dry mouth with spit at the corners of his mouth and consistently licked his lips, which is consistent with the ingestion of alcohol.”

IMPD At one point, according to the document, Allen took a portable breath test and registered a blood alcohol level of .224 — nearly three times the legal limit of .08.
Allen then allegedly went on to perform poorly on multiple field sobriety tests.
Allen was ultimately arrested, and on Tuesday, he was formally hit with two charges: one misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle with alcohol concentration equivalent to .15 or more and one misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Messages seeking comment from Allen’s attorneys this week were not returned.
Allen, who spent the majority of his NFL career with the Chargers, signed with the Colts on Aug. 18 and caught six passes for 32 yards in their season-opening loss to the Ravens on Sunday.
