Add The California Post on Google An 18-year-old student at Cal State Fullerton died after a fraternity function at the college, with alcohol eyed as a factor in his death, police said.
Anthony Joseph Blas was dropped at the emergency department of St. Jude Medical Center shortly after midnight Saturday and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Fullerton Police Department.
Investigators determined Blas had been attending an event at an unaffiliated fraternity, saying “alcohol consumption appears to have been a contributing factor in the male’s death.”
Police said hazing was not a factor and there is no evidence of foul play. An investigation is ongoing.
