Add Page Six on Google Hayden Panettiere’s ex Brian Hickerson has lost 40 pounds since the actress’ death, according to a new report.
Hickerson is allegedly “extremely heartbroken” and grieving over Panettiere’s Aug. 16 passing at 36, sources close to Brian and his brother, Zach Hickerson, told TMZ on Monday.
The outlet noted that the siblings’ recent outing — which ended in Zach’s arrest for disorderly conduct — was meant to get Brian out of the house.
Instead, the duo was handcuffed after getting into an altercation with fellow Wild Wing Cafe patrons in Greenville, South Carolina.
Brian, who was ultimately released at the scene, was allegedly heckled and told, “You killed [Panettiere]. You probably beat her to death.”
Brian, notably, pleaded no contest in 2021 to two felony counts of injuring a spouse or girlfriend.

Panettiere described multiple alleged instances of abuse in her “This Is Me Now” memoir, which came out in May.
That same month, Brian called his behavior “terrible” and confessed, “Never in my life did I ever get taught what domestic violence was, right? Maybe if I did at an early age, maybe I wouldn’t have done what I did. We don’t know. It’s one of those things you think about.”
During his scuffle over the weekend, Brian flung a chair, was dragged out of the establishment by another man and claimed, “GPD leaked it when my girlfriend died.”
Zach allegedly yelled obscenities and was detained.
He spoke out post-arrest, telling TMZ, “It’s just super frustrating all that we’ve been through and all the rumors that get started and then people believe them and then they attack as a result of the rumors.”
Zach added that it “pisses [him] off” when people “fill in” their own theories about the tragedy.
The Drug Enforcement Administration is currently investigating Panettiere’s death — and reportedly looking into a “slew of” incriminating texts with the Golden Globe nominee’s drug dealer.
While TMZ claimed Monday that the “Heroes” alum died after taking a fentanyl-laced oxycodone pill, the Greenville County Coroner’s Office subsequently told FOX Carolina, “We have not released anything at this time. We will send out an email release when ready.”
Zach previously said he and Brian tried to revive Panettiere with Narcan and CPR after finding her unresponsive post-nap.
In Brian’s only statement on the tragedy, his lawyer wrote, “Hayden’s death remains under investigation and it is important to allow that investigation to proceed. As has been publicly reported, police confirmed there were no signs of foul play.
“Out of respect for Hayden’s loved ones and the ongoing investigation, there will be no further comment at this time.”
