Shocking video shows out-of-control helicopter repeatedly slam into Utah runway during lesson

Add The New York Post on Google Shocking video shows a helicopter repeatedly crashing into a taxiway after a flight instructor lost control while teaching a lesson — with the teacher and his student miraculously escaping with only minor injuries.

CCTV footage from Cedar City Regional Airport in Utah shows the red Bell 206 lifting off before it bounced on impact and started helplessly careening across the taxiway.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) released the video while announcing that the May 23 crash was caused by the 32-year-old instructor losing control, not mechanical failure.

The flight instructor piloting the aircraft and the student passenger only suffered “minor” injuries, according to an NTSB report. NTSB via Storyful Miraculously, both the instructor and his student, a 25-year-old man, only suffered “minor” injuries, according to the report, which did not identify them.
