Mel Robbins has reached the top of her game — all by helping others do the same.
Not only is her namesake, Golden Globe-nominated podcast regularly topping the charts, but her book “The Let Them Theory” was also one of the top-selling titles of 2025. And now, she’s expanding her empire even further by becoming co-founder of Pure Genius Protein, which just launched a new Protein + Fiber Shot.
Below, Robbins dishes on the must-have products she keeps on hand through all her busy days, from a spa-like shower mist to the surprising novel that inspired her own famous book cover.
“I started using this eucalyptus shower spray, which I first saw inside a high-end spa. I took a photo of it because I loved how it made the spa smell. And now it is my secret guilty pleasure. I turn on the shower and I spray the walls. You will instantly feel like you have just stepped into some extravagant spa experience even though you are actually standing in your own shower. On an overwhelming day, 10 seconds alone with the eucalyptus steam feels like a mini escape.”
“In the last year, I have really prioritized my health and fitness, and somewhere along the way I have traded in my yoga leggings for gym shorts. These Vuori shorts are my all-time favorite. They are so soft and light, it feels like you are wearing nothing. I often look down to make sure I am not naked. At 57, I am somewhat self-conscious about shorts, but these are flattering on absolutely everybody.”
“I don’t even know where to start with these books. ACOTAR is hands down my favorite fantasy series, and I’m currently rereading all five books before the sixth comes out in October. I live in Vermont, and sometimes I look outside and swear I’m living in Velaris. My daughters and I first read this series two years ago, and we still talk about these books and these characters weekly.
“And here’s a fun fact I love: The ‘Let Them Theory’ book cover is green and yellow because Sawyer (my daughter and co-author) and I were so inspired by the second book, ‘A Court of Mist and Fury,’ which also happens to have a green-and-yellow cover.”
“Hands down the softest blanket in the world. I have one in my office, my car, my living room, and I even sometimes travel with one to put on my hotel room bed. All three of our adult kids have them (because they stole mine when they visited home). At the end of a long day, wrapping yourself in one of these feels like a giant, warm, safe hug — maybe even better than one from my husband, Chris. Just kidding!”
“I drink one of these 20-gram high-quality protein and 5-gram fiber shots every morning. They’re only 100 calories, sugar-free — and boy, are they delicious. I have them in my purse, my car and my backpack, for the perfect fuel on the go. When I start my morning with a protein shot, I swear my energy, focus and mood improve significantly. That’s why I became a co-founder of Pure Genius Protein, because once I saw how much it improved my life and health, I wanted to be involved at every level in bringing this remarkable protein product to everybody.”
“I am such a visual person that I have to write everything down on paper. And as a former criminal defense attorney, I love this old-school stenography notebook. It’s small, it flips from the top, it has a pen holder and I carry it with me everywhere. At this point, it holds absolutely everything in my brain and has become more important to me than my phone.”
