The unidentified nightcrawler was spotted stepping out of the manhole at Juniper Boulevard South and 74th Street in Middle Village just after 4 a.m., prompting an observer to call 911, according to police.
The underground diver—believed to be in his 20s and last seen wearing a red and black bandana—ran off with four other men who were surrounding the sewer, law enforcement sources said.
Several individuals emerged from a New York City manhole in May at the intersection of McDonald Ave. and Colin Place in Gravesend. Obtained by NY Post It’s not known if the other men had also climbed out of the manhole.
