Add The New York Post on Google A popular porn star in Japan has reportedly died by suicide after her body was found Saturday in Tokyo’s red-light district.
Hana Kuraki, 25, was reportedly discovered by a friend at an apartment belonging to the owner of a bar in the Kabukicho neighborhood in the Japanese capital, the Tokyo Reporter reported.
The club’s owner, Sakito, shared details about Kuraki’s death in a lengthy post on social media.
“I am deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the passing of Hana Kuraki. I offer my sincere condolences,” he wrote, refuting earlier posts claiming he was the one who discovered the body.

Instagram/@hana_kuraki87 Sakito said one of Kuraki’s friends found her at his apartment and then called him, and he went to the apartment to help manage the situation and speak to the Tokyo police, he wrote.
Sakito also said Kuraki had told him about problems in her relationship, but asked people to stop spreading rumors and speculation about her death.
“I hope that no further harm comes to the deceased or those around her through misinformation or speculation,” he wrote.
“I also hope for a world free of people who use violence to control others or drive them to such desperate straits,” he went on.

In June this year, she announced a sudden hiatus because of face and jaw injuries caused by a traffic accident.
“Announcement: I’ve decided to take a break for a while, so I’ll be suspending activities for a certain period. (I do want to keep up with filming if I can). As for the events currently scheduled, I’ll provide an update when I can,” she wrote in a post on X.
