Myles Garrett getting surgery, going on IR in Rams disaster

After an ugly season-opening loss to the 49ers in Australia, their prized offseason acquisition Myles Garrett is now undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery and going on IR, The Ringer’s Tom Pelissero first reported.

Getty Images The Rams host the Giants on “Monday Night Football” next week, visit the Broncos for “Sunday Night Football” in Week 3, visit the Eagles in Week 4 and host the Bills on “Monday Night Football” in Week 5.

If Garrett only needs the minimum time on injured reserve, he could play in Week 6 at home against the Cardinals.

Los Angeles lost 27-7 to the 49ers on Thursday, with Garrett having very little impact as he was hampered.
