Add The California Post on Google Cops have shot a knife-wielding suspect inside a home on a ritzy Los Angeles street following a reported assault with a deadly weapon.
Officers swooped on the house in the 9300 block of Warbler Avenue in the Hollywood Hills around 9.35pm Saturday.
During the police response, officers encountered the suspect and gunfire was reported. LAPD said at least one officer fired their weapon during the incident.
The suspect was struck by the gunfire. Their current condition has not been released.
Authorities have not yet provided details about what immediately preceded the shooting or confirmed how many officers discharged their weapons.
LAPD’s Force Investigation Division (FID) is handling the officer-involved shooting investigation.
Detectives are expected to interview multiple witnesses, including the officers involved, while investigators also review available video and examine evidence collected at the scene.
No officers were reported injured in the incident.
