Here’s where to watch Mets vs. Yankees Subway Series 2026 live for free

Add The New York Post on Google The second round of the 2026 Subway Series kicks off tonight.

The annual matchup between the New York Yankees and New York Mets heads to The Bronx for a three-game weekend series.

Right now, the Mets have the edge in the season series, as they won two of three at home during the first round of this year’s Subway Series back in May.

The Mets are coming into the series on a four-game win streak where they scored 35 runs across the four games; the most recent win came in a 15-14 nailbiter against Miami.

The Yankees are also riding a winning streak into this weekend and got a huge boost in the lineup earlier this week with the return of Aaron Judge. The Yankees’ captain missed 100 days with a fractured rib.

Pregame ceremonies held prior to the 7:05 p.m. first pitch will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.

The second half of the 2026 Subway Series between the New York Mets and Yankees is this weekend, Sept. 11-13. Check out the full schedule:

This year, all three games of the Subway Series will be broadcast locally. If you’re a Yankees fan, you can tune in to Michael Kay and the Yankees’ broadcast crew on YES; Mets fans can watch all three games with Gary, Keith and Ron on the call on SNY.

If you don’t have cable, you’ll need a live TV streaming service to watch the Subway Series for free, whether you want to watch the games on YES or SNY.

DIRECTV is our favorite service for trying live TV for free. Right now, you can take advantage of a five-day free trial before saving $30 on your first month. We recommend the Choice plan, which includes both YES and SNY as part of its 125+ channels.
