Chinese man, 106, embraces ‘reverse schedule’, celebrated alongside wife as ‘model couple’

Regarding his remarkable longevity, Wang cites a positive outlook on life, strong family values, and an enduring passion for work and learning

Wang Dinggao, from Rui’an in Zhejiang province, remains remarkably independent despite experiencing some hearing loss, according to the mainland media outlet Daxiang News.

In contrast to most people, he adheres to a “reverse schedule”: sleeping around 4 or 5pm, waking at 1am, enjoying breakfast at 3am before embarking on his morning walk.

His son has adapted to this unusual routine, rising early each day to prepare breakfast, while the family continues to honour Wang’s long-established habits.

Additionally, Wang maintains a high level of independence, managing his own laundry, bathing, and even skilled sewing tasks.

His diet is simple and unrestricted; he enjoys seafood, particularly river crabs, and occasionally shares a meal along with a glass of baijiu (Chinese liquor) with his son.
