The 79-year-old design icon shared a snap of her process on Instagram, standing in front of a mirror in nothing but a black one-piece swimsuit.
She prepped her skin with a white sheet mask and he layered colorful bracelets on both wrists.
“Getting ready for NY Fashion week!” she wrote, continuing, “79 and no filter! OWN IT 🙏👍🙏.”
“Own it,” commented Andy Cohen, to which Jenna Lyons echoed, “🔥❤️🔥❤️LEGEND.”
Back in 2017, Furstenberg broke her nose in a skiing accident. At the time, she told The NY Daily News, “If I ever had any desire to have plastic surgery, after this week, I know for sure, I would not want it,” adding. “I was so terrified that I would lose my old face.”
She added in a chat with Page Six, “My cheekbones, my best feature!”
“I hope I learn a little bit about myself every day,” she told E! in 2014. “The hardest part of the whole thing is the way I look because with no plastic surgery at my age, it’s not the easiest thing.”
Now, 12 years later, she’s “owning” her no-filter prep ahead of her Thursday New York Fashion Week show.
The designer has long since been candid about aging, always attempting to share her true self, without alteration.
Last year, when she took a tumble in LA that left her with a black eye, instead of hiding the massive bruise, she took a few photos and shared them on social media, writing, “Upon arrival in LA, I fell on the pavement and hit my forehead!”
She repeated her mantra, “I am owning it, applying lots of arnica gel and happy it was not worse!!” concluding, “Owning it is the secret of survival!”
