Add Page Six on Google Nicolas Cage’s neighbors are being evacuated from their homes as a result of the massive sinkhole that swallowed the actor’s driveway.
After the crater was discovered outside the actor’s $10.5 million beachfront mansion in Malibu, California, on Tuesday, the city issued an emergency order of “imminent danger” for Sea Level Drive residents.
Seven of the street’s homes were marked unsafe for occupancy because of the “hazardous conditions,” the Daily Mail reported Wednesday.
An additional 24 homes were to be red-tagged, according to the outlet, due to a lack of “safe vehicular access.”
A statement on the City of Malibu’s website explained that “all 31 properties” had been marked unsafe as a result of “the loss of access for Fire and Sheriff’s personnel to respond to medical, fire or law enforcement emergencies.”
The city explained, “The collapse of a beachfront driveway extended into the roadway, blocking resident and emergency access. Sea Level Drive has a single entry and exit.”

A temporary shelter for those affected was established by the American Red Cross at Malibu High School.
Cage’s rep has yet to respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The chasm outside his home, per KTLA, is an estimated 30 feet by 30 feet wide and believed to have been caused by “coastal erosion from high waves and tides associated with Hurricane Marie.”
No injuries have been reported, according to the local news outlet.
“It doesn’t appear that anybody was home,” reporter Rich Prickett said on air. “As a matter of fact, the house looks like it is under some sort of renovation.’
Shocking photos of the sinkhole show the asphalt and concrete having given way outside the 4,000 square foot home.
A Porta Potty, a garbage can and more items could be seen inside the chasm.
Cage, 62, purchased the mansion, which was built by the late Jose Liberman of Liberman Broadcasting in the 1990s, in 2024.
The property has a rooftop deck with ocean views, as well as access to a private beach.
