San Francisco discovers new invasive species: ‘Hot girls’

Add The California Post on Google 1. SF rocked by curious new species (‘hot girls’)

BREAKING NEWS: SAN FRANCISCO, A FAMOUSLY SEXLESS CITY, IS NOW GRAPPLING WITH HOTNESS. This week, Celeste Amadon released a viral “hot list” of the city’s most datable people — all, like, 87 of them.

And more interestingly, “deep-tech founder” and hottie-with-a-body Georgia Witchel published an essay on X, seen by 1.2 million people, that detailed tech’s “Hot Girl Renaissance.”

Evidently, as Georgia wrote, there’s backlash at SF women posting network-y thirst traps, and generally leveraging their hotness for attention, among self-righteous male nerds who feel that it’s beneath the city’s highbrow, erudite values.

But she (autistically) did the math — and these posts get disproportionate attention at a time when selling anything pretty much requires that. Case in point: “an insurance company” — Corgi, which runs a buzzy cafe staffed by hot girls — “is currently the most-discussed brand in tech.”

Relax, everybody. Sex sells. SF is just late to the party because none of y’all have been having any sex.

Last month, Anthropic reported a man to SFPD over his AI chat logs, according to The San Francisco Standard.

In his chats, the man made threats against Dario Amodei and also stated he “was going to kill everyone at Anthropic.” The Standard later contacted the man — who was neither arrested nor charged — and he said he was, ahem, messing around.

That guy is literally me, figuratively. My temper flares too when the bots refuse my light fraud requests, and my chats then become mildly genocidal. Can you blame me?

This is a country of priests and lawyers. AI tools that snitch on us are simply not American. The expectation of an intimate chat, whether rooted in reality or not, is privacy.

And we should try to keep them private. Moving forward, I suggest an AIttorney-client privilege. Until then, think twice before you (unseriously) threaten the people building the Machine God — to the Machine God.

3. “To the moon!” *hits pipe*

Setting aside fears that his return to the spotlight was all for some elaborate grift, Hunter Biden is… launching a meme coin.

Dubbed “$LAPTOP” in reference to his prior scandal, Hunter’s coin debuted with a baked-in barb at Trump: tokens will be directly sent to the crypto wallets of those who lost money on the president’s meme coin (and also to me, after I ask Solana for my next salary exclusively in $LAPTOP).

Ironically though, Hunter’s attempt to dunk on the president for shady crypto shenanigans includes some seriously shady crypto shenanigans: after appearing on Andrew Callaghan’s Channel 5 podcast, Biden apparently requested the emails for all of Callaghan’s Patreon subscribers, who are currently being spammed with Laptop-coin promo.

Now what kinda guy goes on a show just to hijack the host’s subscriber list and proceeds to bombard them with crypto scams and oh wait yeah nevermind a crackhead. A crackhead would do this.
