As former USC and current Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Sam Darnold was getting ready for pregame when he had a viral interaction with a young fan.
The young fan couldn’t believe his eyes when Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba approached him and started signing his football, a moment that left him saying “oh my God.”
When Smith-Njigba finished, Darnold suddenly appeared and started signing the same football, leaving the kid saying “oh my God” two more times.

The former Rose Bowl winner and current Super Bowl-winning quarterback went on to sign a few more items for the fans in attendance, leaving them with a memory they will never forget.
The moment Darnold created with the fan happened moments before the Seahawks were set to take the field for their Wednesday night, week 1 matchup against the New England Patriots, the same team they played in Super Bowl 60 last February.
Darnold, 29, is entering his ninth season in the NFL and has a tough challenge ahead of him on Wednesday as he is looking to defeat the Patriots for the first time in the regular season.
After being selected in the first round by the New York Jets, in the 2018 NFL Draft, Darnold has had a tough time against the Patriots, as he is 0-4 against them in the regular season, with 1 touchdown pass and 9 interceptions etched to his name.

With the new year officially underway, Darnold and the Seahawks are now turning the page from last season to now.
