Add The New York Post on Google An allegedly high-as-a-kite motorist who plowed into a trio of construction workers, killing one, in rural Suffolk County was hit with a homicide charge Wednesday.
Thomas Lobianco, 26, pleaded not guilty to a stunning 19-count indictment that could send him to prison for up to 25 years if he’s convicted.
The throw-the-book indictment – led by an aggravated vehicle homicide charge – arose after Lobianco allegedly got behind the wheel early Aug. 10 after leaving his shift at a Nesconset 7-Eleven, blew through a red light and smashed into a construction crew paving the roadway on Townline Road.

Gofundme The horrific crash left Joel Sicon-Porix, 38, a Mastic father of three, dead and seriously two other construction workers, prosecutors said.
“Every morning, construction crews step out onto Suffolk County roadways to perform work thatevery one of us relies on, often just feet away from fast-moving traffic,” said Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney.
“They have every right to expect that they will make it home safely at the end of their shift. This defendant chose to get behind the wheel while impaired by drugs, and that choice caused devastating consequences.”

Cops found marijuana, clonazepam and drug paraphernalia in Lobianco’s backpack recovered from his wrecked 1999 Toyota Camry, prosecutors said.
A judge set Lobianco’s bail at an $7.5 million. He’s next due in court Oct. 14.
