Noah Humphus, 23, was arrested after the baby girl was taken into a hospital last Wednesday with injuries consistent with child abuse, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Law & Crime.
The girl had fractured ribs, a broken femur, bruising to her face and torso, and signs that she had been shaken, doctors told officers from the Jefferson City Police Department.
Humphus allegedly shook his daughter at least twice a day at home, according to the infant’s mother, who spoke to police.

His daughter’s injuries were in various stages of healing, showing the alleged abuse had taken place over a long period of time, according to the affidavit.
Humphus estimated he had abused his child between 10 and 20 times, as per the affidavit.
He was arrested and charged with child abuse with physical injury and child endangerment and taken to the Cole County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
