Stream It Or Skip It: ‘G20’ on Amazon Prime Video, a Ridiculous Action Flick Starring Viola Davis as a Kickass POTUS Australian actor Jason Clarke is stacking up his upcoming projects.

Just a week after news broke that the actor had joined the ensemble cast of Tom McCarthy’s next film, Deadline reports that Clarke has now signed on to star opposite Viola Davis in Amazon MGM’s thriller Ally Clark, which was first announced last summer. The project was first reported in June 2025. Details about Clarke’s role in the film have not yet been revealed.

Phillip Noyce is set to direct Ally Clark, with Davis starring as an investigator who begins probing an international conglomerate after the suspicious death of a close friend. What starts as a case in New York City soon expands into a cross-country pursuit, sending the character from Louisiana’s bayous all the way to remote Alaska.

Jose Ruisanchez and Irwin Winkler co-wrote the script and will also produce via Winkler Films alongside Charles Winkler and David Winkler. Davis and Julius Tennon are producing through JuVee Productions, with JuVee’s Melanie Clark attached as an executive producer alongside Ian Watermeier.

The film marks Clarke and Davis’ second collaboration following the 2010 drama Trust.

Clarke has been on a tear lately. In addition to McCarthy’s upcoming project, the actor has signed on to star opposite Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo in Netflix’s live-action Gundam movie from Legendary. He recently wrapped production on F.A.S.T., the Warner Bros. action thriller penned by Taylor Sheridan, and is also attached to Wind River: The Next Chapter.

He also had a packed 2025, appearing in Kathryn Bigelow’s A House of Dynamite, the Hulu limited series Murdaugh: Death in the Family, where he played convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh, and Apple TV+’s The Last Frontier.

Amazon MGM is currently eyeing a 2027 release for Ally Clark, with more casting news expected as the project moves forward.
