Everyone has been arguing over who has the better travel strategy for their trips to Australia, between the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers.
49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams was asked about the two teams’ approach and said he isn’t sure which is the correct one.

“To me it’s tomatoes to tomato, so whatever you believe in,” Williams told reporters. “The good thing about it is when you play a game, you’ve got a lot of adrenaline, so I don’t think that will be as big as a factor as people think.”
By the time the Rams and 49ers kick off their Week 1 matchup, San Francisco would have been in Melbourne, Australia for over a week. The reasoning behind their decision to leave early was that players’ bodies have time to acclimate to the environment.

Once the game is over, the Rams are expected to fly back home to Los Angeles, as the science behind their decision indicates that leaving Australia so soon will result in not enough time for their bodies to acclimate to the environment.
There is no way to tell which team’s approach to playing their game on Friday at 10:35 a.m. (local time) airing live back home on Thursday at 5:35 p.m. PT, is the correct one until all is said and done.
Williams said that over the past week, his body feels ready and is acclimated to the environment.
“Probably after 48 hours, 36 hours, I started to feel a little normal,” Williams said. “And about three or four days, it started to feel really normal.”
As both teams are preparing to kick off the season this week, Williams will have a tall task at hand as the Rams boast one of the best defensive lines in football, as Myles Garret will be making his Rams debut after being traded to them by the Cleveland Browns during the offseason.
Williams received good news on Tuesday when Rams head coach Sean McVay revealed 3-time Defensive Player of the Year winner Aaron Donald will be staying home and won’t suit up for the game.
