After four grueling rounds, the US Open has whittled down 128 Men’s and 128 Women’s Singles players down to eight.
With just the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals remaining, only the best of the best tennis has to offer are left.
If you’d like to see the sport’s most elite stars duke it out on the Flushing’s famed blue courts, last-minute tickets are available for all remaining matches from now until things conclude on Sunday, Sept. 13.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one grounds admission pass was just $12 including fees on StubHub.
Other passes (and tickets) have inventory starting anywhere from $25 to $561 including fees.
On the Men’s Singles side, No. 1-ranked Alexander Zverev (Germany), No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz (Spain), No. 9 Ben Shelton (United States), No. 12 Frances Tiafoe (U.S.), Boltic van de Zandschulp (Netherlands), Karen Khachanov (Russia), Alexander Blockx (Belgium) and Alex Michelsen (U.S.) remain.
As for the Women, only seven are left. No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) already defeated Linda Noskova (Czechia) 7-6, 3-6, 7-6 in the quarterfinals. Others still standing include No. 2 Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan), No. 3 Jessica Pegula (U.S.), No. 4 Coco Gauff (U.S.), No. 5 Mirra Andreeva (Siberia), Emma Navarro (U.S.) and Qinwen Zheng (China).
“From watching players practice to multiple courts of action, seeing the US Open in-person is an unforgettable experience,” a Post staffer wrote after attending a pair of matches. “Plus, those $23 Honey Deuces you see all over Instagram are actually pretty tasty!”
In addition to all the world-class talent on display, you might also catch a celebrity or two in the wild.
Big names that have attended the tourney this year include Yankees slugger Aaron Judge, “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, homemaker extraordinaire Martha Stewart, Texan thespian Matthew McConaughey and “Science Guy” Bill Nye.
However, what might have made the most headlines are the eye-catching eats out in Flushing.
Just a few of the most notable bites — outside of the iconic Honey Deuce, of course — on this year’s menu run the gamut from Salt Hank’s $38 French dip, Chef Enrique Olvera’s Cosme Pop-Up, Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto’s Hand Rolls, Chef Eyal Shani’s Mediterranean Miznon and Simon Kim’s Kimbop.
Don’t forget Coqodaq’s caviar-topped chicken nuggets either.
Perhaps most interesting of all though is chef Simon Kim’s tantalizing intel he dropped for fans heading to the penultimate stop on the 7 these next few days.
“As the US Open final rolls around, the volume decreases a tiny bit,” Kim said. “That gives our chefs time to be a little more creative. So expect some off-the-menu fun stuff at Kimbop…but I can’t tell you too much yet!”
That alone sounds worth the trip to deep Queens for us.
