Add The New York Post on Google An accused shooter tied to Monday’s West Indian Day Parade violence had been out on bail at the time — because a lefty judge ignored prosectors’ pleas to lock him up over an attempted-slay rap just a month ago.
Nayshawn Wilkinson, 19, allegedly shot a 24-year-old man in the butt near the corner of St. Johns Place and Nostrand Avenue near the parade route Monday afternoon.
He was on the streets despite being busted for a previous shooting only a month ago.
That’s when the teen menace appeared before Brooklyn Criminal Court Judge Janice Robinson for allegedly firing a gun into a busy Brooklyn intersection.
Wilkinson was charged with attempted murder in the case — and prosecutors begged the judge to remand him.
The reputed soft-on-crime judge instead granted the alleged gunman $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond Aug. 4 — and he posted it, freeing him to allegedly strike again.
Wilkinson is awaiting arraignment in court Tuesday.
He is charged with attempted murder and other charges over the parade shooting.
