Martha Stewart isn’t a ‘handbag girl,’ but she’s ‘in love’ with Gap’s new denim bags

While the mall brand’s new purse collection just dropped, it’s already found a fan in the domestic doyenne. She shared a snap of the Five-Pocket Tote on Instagram Stories last week, along with a seemingly unsponsored rave review.

“I am not much of a handbag girl or even a tote bag lady but I am in love with this new denim bag,” she wrote.

While her exact light-wash denim version is already sold out, the durable design is still available in a darker color — plus several smaller options, all of which are flying off the shelves fast.

The pocket-filled purse also comes in canvas, in addition to a luxe-looking vegan suede.

Designed by Gap’ newest executive director of accessories, former Coach creative director Reed Krakoff, the line reimagines some of the brand’s most famous items as bags.

“I spent a lot of time studying what has made the brand so recognizable over the years, from the five-pocket jean and denim detailing to the hoodie and utility pieces,” he told Harper’s Bazaar.

True to form, the line also includes a take on the brand’s classic logo-emblazoned sweatshirts, plus a chic, belted denim shoulder bag.

And with purse charms trending, the brand also dropped several cute ways to customize your new tote — from lanyards to teddy bears wearing their own pint-sized Gap hoodies.

But if you can’t bear to be without something from the new drop, we’d recommend shopping fast. With the designs all under $150 — and stars like Stewart on board — it’s safe to say the remaining styles will sell out fast.
