Survivor of California plane crash dies — leaving two teens orphaned

Add The California Post on Google A California dad has died of his injuries just days after his wife and two youngest sons perished in a horrific plane crash, The Post has learned.

Craig Eady, 44, of Auberry, passed away in the hospital Monday.

It comes after his flight instructor wife Danna, 41, and sons Pavel, 10, and Remus, 13, died over the weekend when the aircraft went down near Fresno.

It has left their two eldest children, Lucien, 17, and Felicity, 18, orphaned.

The crash happened close to Sierra Sky Park airport near the San Joaquin River just before 2 p.m. Saturday, sending emergency crews scrambling to the scene.

Firefighters, cops and sheriff’s deputies arrived to find plane wreckage on a bluff near the river as flames tore across a nearby hillside. The aircraft was a fixed-wing, single-engine plane.
