Add The California Post on Google 49ers star edge rusher Nick Bosa didn’t participate in drills during the portion of practice that was open to reporters on Monday, which fuels uncertainty about whether he’ll suit up for San Francisco’s regular- season opener against the Rams on Thursday in Australia.
Every 49ers fan is hoping Bosa will be able to play. But nobody has been around the 28-year-old during his ACL tear rehab process more than his girlfriend, Ella Ailiff.
Ailiff and Bosa went public with their relationship near the end of 2025. The two are still going strong, which has endeared Ailiff to many members of the 49ers’ faithful.
Ailiff endeared herself to social media on Sunday, with the Instagram post she made showing off several swimsuit outfits.
Several photos showed Ailiff leaning against a tree in a strapless floral one-piece swimsuit, which featured a dramatic side cutout and a colorful tropical print. She also rocked a white swimsuit with a cover-up in some of the other photos.
Ailiff is friends with Olivia Ponton, who is Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow’s girlfriend. And Ponton showed this by commenting on Ailiff’s post, writing, “This is incredible.”
Fans will have to keep a close eye on Bosa’s practice activity over the next few days. San Francisco will likely try to keep his status under wraps as much as it can, as it’s likely that Bosa and Ailiff know whether he’s going to play.
