Western Michigan’s coaches and players missed out on an opportunity for a forever moment.

Michigan, ranked 16th in the country, was exposed by a 27.5-point underdog and needed a miracle to avoid one of the worst losses in program history in new Coach Kyle Whittingham’s debut.
