A-list stars will descend on Toronto starting Thursday for the film fest, but Connor Storrie was turning heads in town last week as “Heated Rivalry” shoots its anticipated second season.
A spy said Storrie — a breakout of the Canadian hit who was the talk of Hollywood’s Oscar parties earlier this year along with his costar Hudson Williams — was working out at the Shangri-la hotel, where he allegedly had “two of his own security, plus two Shangri-La security on hand… so, in total, four men staged at the doors and exits, all of them with secret service-style earpieces.”
(The hotel is located nearby the Soho House Toronto.)
“A year ago, or even at last year’s TIFF, few would have been able to pick Connor or his co-star Hudson Williams out of a police line up,” Toronto social columnist Shinan Govani told Page Six Hollywood. “But the fervor over ‘Heated Rivalry,’ which is in the midst of shooting its second season now in the city, has caused so much pandemonium and neck-turning, it’s hard to believe anyone at the film festival will be able to compete. They kinda own TIFF this year.”
Hudson has another series, “Yaga,” costarring Carrie-Anne Moss, premiering at the fest as part of its Primetime section. He’ll also appear at one of the fest’s panels called, “Making Waves With…”
Chris Rock, Andrew Scott and Korean star Lee Min-ho, among others, are also appearing in the fest’s Q&As.
