Guy Ritchie’s action-packed 2019 film The Gentlemen was spun off into a great TV series starring Theo James, and it returns for a globe-trotting second season this week on Netflix. Also back for a second season is Chad Powers, the series starring Glen Powell in dual roles, one as a football player everyone hates, and another as a football player everybody loves. Wigs are involved. And on Apple TV, check out Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh in Mayday, a combination road trip/buddy-action movie.

Theo James is back for a second season of The Gentlemen, Netflix’s original action comedy series. The show returns this week and picks up a year after the events of the first season, when James’s character Eddie unexpectedly inherits a cannabis empire and teams up with Susie (Kaya Scodelario), who is running a criminal drug syndicate on behalf of her imprisoned father. Season two features a few new faces including : Hugh Bonneville, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli and Maya Jama.

In the new Apple TV original film Mayday, Ryan Reynolds stars as a Cold War-era American pilot who survives a plane crash after being shot down over Russian territory. He’s nursed to health with some help from an ex-KGB operative (played by Kenneth Branagh) who has an over-the-top affinity for all things American. The action-comedy is out on Apple TV this Friday.

Also returning for another season is Hulu’s popular football comedy Chad Powers starring Glen Powell. During the first season of the show, disgraced quarterback Russ Holliday (Powell) discovers that a surefire way to reclaim his busted college football career is to reinvent himself and trick a new team into believing he’s a whole different person, Chad Powers. At the close of season one, some folks started catching on to Chad. How long can it be before the rest of the world learns his secret?
