Welcome to Six Picks, where we ask stars to spill their style and beauty must-haves — so you can shop like you’re famous, too.
From the Europe to the Jersey Shore, Dolores Catania always keeps it real.
After eight seasons on “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” the reality TV veteran is no stranger to looking camera-ready. But this summer, she got glammed up for something much more personal: her son Frank Jr.’s wedding in Portugal.
“For my son’s wedding, I wanted to look like myself — just a little more polished and wedding-ready,” said the star, who recently teamed up with beauty brand No7.
And while her pale blue dress made headlines, she told Page Six Style what mattered most was “feeling beautiful and being there to celebrate my son.”
“I wanted a dress that felt glamorous and special for the mother-of-the-groom moment, but it also had to feel like me and allow me to move comfortably,” she said of her look. dolores catania/ instagram “The reactions online were mixed, but that’s the nature of fashion and the internet,” she added. “Everyone has an opinion, and I’ve learned not to take the criticism too seriously.”
After a decade on Bravo, she’s also learned a thing or two about picking great products. Below, she spills her seasonal skin care and wellness secrets, from creams to collagen powder.
“A good body product leaves my skin feeling soft and gives me that healthy-looking glow, especially when I’m wearing dresses or showing more skin.”
“Humidity can be brutal, so I love a product that helps keep my hair smooth, manageable, and polished without weighing it down.”
“This is part of my everyday wellness routine, and I like having something simple that I can stay consistent with even when my schedule gets busy.”
“It feels like a little luxury, and I find that I wake up with fewer tangles and less frizz in my hair.”
“I love that it leaves my skin feeling hydrated, firmer, and more refreshed without feeling heavy, which is especially important in the summer. It also sits beautifully under makeup and has SPF built in.”
“Hydration is a big part of feeling and looking my best, so I keep the House of Harlow 1960 Stainless Steel Bedazzled Water Bottle with me to make drinking water throughout the day easy. Bedazzled ’cause every Jersey girl needs a bedazzled water bottle! [Plus], Elevate Collagen Powder to flavor my water and for a collagen boost.”
