Add The California Post on Google Police in Irvine are hunting for a man accused of turning a confrontation at a local golf course into a brutal attack that left a golfer struck in the head with his own club.
The violence unfolded at San Joaquin Golf Course on Aug. 29, when cops say a golfer confronted a man who had allegedly run across the course.

Investigators said the suspect took off after the golfer, who attempted to escape by driving away in his golf cart.
The attacker allegedly managed to catch up with him, grabbed a club from the cart and used it to strike the golfer in the head before running from the scene.
“The golfer tried to get away in his golf cart, but the suspect caught up, took a golf club from the cart, and struck the golfer in the head,” investigators said. “The suspect then fled the area.”
Police have released images of the man they believe was involved and are asking the public for help identifying him.
