CloseA BBC team has joined a humanitarian mission of the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon, known as Unifil, which is one of the only ways to visit the area under Israeli occupation.
There, as it did in Gaza, Israel has flattened entire villages, and air strikes and demolitions have continued even after a ceasefire in its conflict with the armed group Hezbollah was announced in June.
Western and Lebanese officials have told the BBC the Israeli military is entrenching itself in the occupied areas.
Israel says it aims to create what it calls a "security zone" to prevent Hezbollah attacks on northern Israel, and that the buildings it has destroyed were used by Hezbollah for military purposes.
The visit, which took place in August, was allowed by the Israeli military through a deconfliction mechanism with the UN.
