Add The New York Post on Google Former NFL practice squad player Damoun Patterson was arrested in Florida on felony charges including armed burglary and aggravated assault, police told CBS 12.
The Daytona Beach Police Department reportedly charged the 31-year-old with armed burglary of a dwelling, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft of a motor vehicle and criminal mischief.
Patterson — who reportedly signed with the Patriots, Steelers, Falcons and Buccaneers — remained in custody as of Monday afternoon, CBS 12 reported citing Volusia County jail booking records.

The police officer held a gun and told the driver — Patterson — to slowly step out of the car, saying: “You be cool with me, we’ll be cool with you.”
He told Patterson while placing handcuffs on him that he was just being detained, before asking where he’s from. Patterson, who later identified himself, said: “Orlando.”
The officer eventually pointed out an alleged knife in Patterson’s car.
Patterson later opened up to police about his time with the Steelers, seemingly saying that the team clocked him at 23 mph before mentioning that he broke “both toes.”
Patterson added that he wanted the Steelers to let them know they should have drafted him.
“You played on the Steelers?” one officer asked, to which Patterson said they hosted him for a workout.
One officer then informed Patterson that the car was stolen and told him that he would be going to jail and that he would likely be hearing from Orlando police.
Patterson did not respond to that information before being placed in the back of a vehicle.
A charging affidavit stated a be-on-the-lookout notice had been filed for Patterson and a stolen vehicle that had been linked to an Orland home invasion, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
Patterson is from Orlando and played at Utah State for one season before transferring to Highland and then finishing his last two years with Youngstown State.
He did not appear in an NFL game, but caught preseason passes, per the News-Journal.
