Add Page Six on Google Alex Cooper’s Unwell brand is living up to its name.
After Bloomberg reported her Unwell beverages were getting canned earlier this month, Page Six has learned the “Call Her Daddy” phenom’s reality show under is following suit.
Sources told us Disney is canceling “Love Overboard,” produced by her Unwell Productions, after just one season.
Insiders explained the show “wasn’t finding its audience,” so the media giant axed it.
The podcaster was an executive producer on the dating show hosted by former “Bachelorette” and the “Traitors” winner Gabby Windey.
The nine-episode series, featuring 22 singles competing for love on a yacht, premiered on Hulu in March.
Cooper shot to fame as a co-host of surprise smash-hit sex and dating pod, “Call Her Daddy,” a female-focused show that was part of the male-centric Barstool Sports network.
Time called her “arguably the most successful woman in podcasting” after she inked a stunning $60million three-year deal to take the show to Spotify.
The reality show and juice set backs appears to be only minor stumbles. Her Unwell company recently received an investment from Patrick Whitesell’s investment firm WTSL, reportedly valuing the company at $500 million.
Earlier this month, sources told Page Six Hollywood she jumped ship from her agency UTA to sign with rival CAA.
Our insider further said Disney isn’t abandoning its relationship with the podcaster. “Disney has a great relationship with Alex and is in development with her on a few projects,” they said.
It was announced in June that “Vampire Diaries” stars Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley will star in upcoming Hulu drama, “You Deserve To Know,” another project from Cooper’s Unwell company. Perhaps, Cooper will find more success with the scripted than reality.
