Add Page Six on Google She’s just being Miley!
Miley Cyrus mysteriously dropped her last name from her social media handles on Monday — and is now simply going by “Miley.”
The singer did not provide her followers with any explanation for the move just yet. However, she did post two new red and black photos of herself via Instagram, pointedly captioning one of them, “MILEY.”
It appears Cyrus, 33, is marking a new era after signing to Atlantic Records last month. She was previously with Sony Music’s Columbia, as well as RCA.
She has yet to announce when she’s dropping her highly anticipated 10th studio album, which would mark the followup to 2025’s “Something Beautiful,” released last May.
Cyrus did, however, talk about her new music in a Q&A for Wonderland magazine with actress Daryl Hannah last month.
“This album is a love story, but love stories are never one-dimensional. They’re always layered,” she shared at the time. “There is definitely a romantic thread weaving through it because, like all my records, it’s a reflection of where I am in my life. But this one feels especially meaningful because this feeling has stayed with me through multiple eras.”
She added, “That’s something I hadn’t really experienced before. A peaceful kind of love has become a theme across my last three records. Not just the love I share with someone else, but the love I’ve found form myself.”

The “Wrecking Ball” singer, whose been engaged to producer Maxx Morando since December 2025, said she went through an “evolution.”
“Once your relationship with yourself changes, every relationship around you changes too,” she noted. “I think this record celebrates both of those equally.”
The Grammy-winning singer was photographed last Tuesday heading into a Los Angeles studio to film an upcoming project in pics obtained by Page Six. Dressed in all black, she looked somber as news that her godmother, Dolly Parton, had died broke just hours earlier.
The “Hannah Montana” alum shared an emotional Instagram tribute to the country music icon, who died at 80 years old after a brief battle with cancer.
“I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis. 🦋,” she wrote in part.
“I will always love her and want to make her proud. My heart breaks for the world, her family and friends who will miss her deeply. We’re in this loss together and we will see her in all of the most beautiful things.”
