Add The New York Post on Google The Cowboys are bolstering their offensive line headed into the season.
Dallas acquired offensive tackle Broderick Jones from the Steelers on Saturday, according to multiple reports.
In return for Jones, the Steelers received third- and sixth-round draft picks in 2027. The Cowboys also gave up a 2027 fourth-round pick in the deal, according to ESPN.

IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect Jones, who was drafted by the Steelers with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, has started 38 of the 45 games he has appeared in across his first three seasons.
His season was cut short last year, however, after suffering a neck injury during the Steelers’ Week 12 31-28 loss to the Bears.
Though he has been medically cleared for this season, reports have indicated that Jones, 25, has lost strength after undergoing spinal fusion surgery.
During training camp in June, Jones told reporters he is still working on regaining his strength, and is working toward gaining more weight.

Just trying to get back in shape and putting the weight back on in the right places.”
Despite the setbacks, Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy said he believes Jones is still a “starter-level” player.
“I think it speaks volume for Broderick and what he’s been doing here the last couple of months,” McCarthy said. “So I just think, like anything, when a player comes off of a medical clearance, you can’t just go to a hundred miles an hour. … Broderick, he’s been a starter here.”
