He was given the full load in this game, and he responded by going 3-for-3 on field goals, hitting from 23, 53 and 46 yards.
“That was kind of the last step to prove he could do a whole game,’’ Harbaugh said.
It was a strong competition between Zvada and Ben Sauls, who went 8-for-8 on field goals late last season for the Giants.
The left-footed Sauls also impressed Harbaugh, but Zvada outkicked him.
