Woman flees Hong Kong flat blaze after alleged knife attack by husband

Husband rushed to hospital in a coma after fall from height near Yuen Long flat

Police said a woman in her thirties called for help at 9.43am, saying she had been knifed by her husband, who is around the same age, in a flat at 88 Fung Cheung Road before managing to flee.

Officers arriving at the scene found that the flat in question was on fire, prompting residents to evacuate.

The victim’s husband was later found to have fallen from a height and was rushed to Pok Oi Hospital in a coma.

The woman suffered injuries to her hand and was taken separately to the same hospital for treatment.
