Here’s my Mets plan: First, make a big play for the coveted, accomplished, unusually available Alex Cora, which would be a home run. But if they can’t get Cora, bring back interim manager Andy Green, who’s doing a creditable job (26-26 into Thursday night).
Cora is a managing savant with a World Series ring, so by all means go for it. But realistically, he’s probably a long shot. (More on that below.)
