Add The New York Post on Google An unhinged straphanger stabbed an MTA cleaner who confronted him for urinating on the bustling Times Square subway platform on Monday, cops and sources said.
The lewd attacker was relieving himself on the platform of the major Midtown hub around 10:30 p.m. when the transit cleaner, a 30-year-old man, scolded him, according to the NYPD and law enforcement sources.
The crude commuter then flew into a rage and started physically fighting with the worker before stabbing him on the left arm – leaving a severe cut, police said.
The employee was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Footage released by the NYPD shows the bespectacled, goateed straphanger carrying a backpack on the train.
“It’s unacceptable that someone would attack a transit worker doing their job to improve the lives of New York subway riders,” Bill Amarosa Jr., the MTA’s executive vice president of subways, said in a statement.

Transit cameras captured the perpetrator on video, and when he’s apprehended the justice system should make sure maximum consequences are delivered.”
