The finale of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, the Tour Championship, begins today, Aug. 26, at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia.
This weekend’s field consists of the top 30 players from regular season standings, and even though the $100 million prize pool for the FedEx Cup season-long race was given out last weekend, the winner of this weekend’s Tour Championship will be declared the 2026 FedEx Cup champion.
Yes, that means that there is a chance Scottie Scheffler, who led the FedEx Cup standings by over 1,000 points, could not end up winning the actual FedEx Cup, but he is a favorite to do so at East Lake this weekend.
All 30 players start the Tour Championship at even par, so there’s an equal chance between all players to win this season’s title.
